Goldtown Community Church - Music Ministries

Except for some special services, our choir sings at all Sunday morning and evening worship services. If you can make a joyful noise we would love to have you. Check the calendar or Current Events for practice times.

Family of Faith is a choir made up of younger adults, many husbands and wives. There is no age "limit" only youthful at heart. We sing a mixture of southern gospel, traditional, and contemporary songs. Our desire is to serve the Lord through song and do so as a family. Surrender is our youth Praise & Worship band. They minister each month during our Contemporary Worship Service (see our Current Events page for dates). They are also available to minister at other churches or events upon request.

Our youth handbell choir has begun! A little less than two years ago, we began nest-egging for a new ministry at Goldtown. Private donations totaling more than $13,000.00 were received from generous folks at GCC who shared the vision. Of course, we can expect Satan to attack whenever he can. Please lift these young people up in your prayers, plus encourage them for their commitment in taking on this new challenge. They're doing a wonderful job thus far!

The "J.O.Y. Bells" children's handbell choir is comprised of ringers from the Beginners, Primary, and Intermediate classes (Grades K-5). Using color-coded cards and C-scale bells, the children can quickly learn the concept of ringing for the Lord. The group performs for church plays and youth services, as well as bi-monthly for our morning worship services on the third Sunday of each month (alternating with the King's Kids).

The acronym for the J.O.Y. Bells' name is a reminder to all of us to always put Jesus 1st, Others next, and Yourself last...only then will we have true JOY!

The King's Kids are a group of enthusiastic yet sincere young voices who love to praise the Lord. Consisting of children in the Primary, Intermediate, and Middle School classes (Grades 2-8), this group sings contemporary and traditional gospel songs. Regardless of the style of music presented, the King's Kids learn it with optimism and excitement. The faith and spiritual maturity of this group is remarkable, and their primary focus in each rehearsal is being sure their prayer requests are presented to the King above. The group performs for church plays and youth services, as well as bi-monthly for our morning worship services on the third Sunday of each month (alternating with the Joy Bells).

The Love Notes have singing class every Sunday morning from 10:30 - 10:45 and is for ages Preschool - 1^st Grade. During this time the children have an opportunity to give prayer requests, pray, and worship our Lord in song. We cover a wide range of songs so you're sure to enjoy it.
